Megan Pustarfi Equestrian
Megan Pustarfi
A dressage focused rider, instructor, and trainer. Providing every horse and rider with a solid foundation. Focusing on basics first then building upon that. Her strong dressage background has allowed success in schooling and showing, not just in dressage, but also in hunters, jumpers, and eventers.
Megan had a passion for horses and riding since a young age. Beginning with taking lessons at a local riding facility. She found her love of dressage later in her riding, a year before going off to college. She competed on the St. Andrews University Intercollegiate Dressage Team for all four years of undergrad. During her junior/senior years of college she found a passion for teaching. From beginner riders to advanced Megan enjoys teaching all levels.
Her teaching is heavily influenced on Sally Swifts Centered Riding. Focusing on rider fundamentals and biomechanics. Starting all riders bareback to allow the rider to fallow and feel the horse under them has been an integral part of her program.
Megan has improved her own riding and training by taking lessons with a variety of instructors. Taking weekly/bi-weekly lessons and attending clinics in order to continue to grow and learn as a rider. She has ridden with Sally Gray, Laura Abner, Jeremy Steinburg, Paul Belasik, Christophe Theallet, and plans to ride with more.
Megan is actively competing in dressage competitions, and some jumping/eventing schooling shows. Currently competing her Quarter horse gelding Rusty at 3rd level. With goals to go higher up the levels.
